Teachers will be provided with demonstration, knowledge and resources of process drama strategies and peer discussion techniques and tools to support the improvement of student writing outcomes. Teachers will learn how to successfully and practically implement these techniques to foster engagement in students and cater for the diverse needs of students. Teachers will be shown how using drama and peer discussion positively impacts a student’s understanding of the writing process as well as the positive impacts it has on supporting and extending a student’s vocabulary knowledge and creativity in writing. Teachers will have time to workshop and apply the course techniques to their own classrooms and target school priority areas.
